As the U.K went in to official lockdown on 23rd March 2020 to help stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. I started to witness familiar places and local landmarks change before my eyes. Very quickly I started to embark on a coronavirus photography project.
To help me through the lockdown I would look to photograph the changing world around me. The U.K government permitted daily exercise to which I’d undertake along with my camera and a 50mm lens.
As I walked familiar streets and beside the seaside things felt extremely quiet and empty. Everyday started to feel a repeat of the day before and I was plagued by the constant use of media buzzwords. Lockdown, pandemic, slow the spread, self isolation and social distancing.
For this coronavirus photography project I decided to reshape the areas with the terms I had been hearing day in day out.
Life is not how we know it.
