For quite sometime i have been working towards more minimal seascape photography by using long exposures and concentrating on the subtle colours at dusk on the Suffolk coast. As i progress within my own thoughts towards trying to strip down certain elements and ask myself a question ‘Is a focal point necessary?’ i thought i’d post a photograph that i am pleased with. I have used my Canon MKI 50mm F/1.8 at F/1.8 with a long exposure of 2 seconds. This minimal seascape has an overall daydream quailty, the image has been swallowed up by a soft dusk light and without a strong focal point the photo is soft, which adds to this daydream feel.
Taken at Felixstowe Ferry, Suffolk, UK.
