Daffodils, the perfect subject for 50mm spring photography
What better way to celebrate Spring finally springing with some 50mm spring photography? I’ve put together a small gallery which features photography i have taken over the years with my trusty Canon 50mm F/1.8 MK1 lens. I’ve lived by this lens for quite a few years and it is easily one of my widely used lenses and is certainly a personal favourite.
Spring is a great time to get back into photography if you’ve been feeling a little uninspired over the winter months. There’s plenty of fresh subject matter that’s colourful and interesting to get your lens trained upon. Focusing on the new arrival of flowers and other smaller details in the landscape are a great way to play around with creative focus. All these shots featured in this 50mm spring photography gallery are all shot at F/1.8. I think there is something special about throwing the background and foreground out of focus when you’re photographing nature intimately, how the light breaking through foliage makes for amazing out of focus abstractions.
